A tight-knit African-American community struggles with its future while fighting to preserve its venerable history.  Education, the railroad, and a tiny rural church got residents through the Jim Crow era. But home ownership gave them a new kind of power. As their adult children find new opportunities elsewhere, what’s ahead for this extended family whose story has yet to be told?

KempWrites is entering the grant application/fundraising phase of this production. Watch this space for updates on how you can help this community record its remarkable history.
